The article presents an overview of creation, maintenance and usage of the authority file of headings, containing corporate names, and its usage in the authority control process in machine-readable cataloging. Described is the technology of interaction of the authority file and the bibliographic record file, and the algorithm of authority records translation for their transfer to the CNSHB the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences (Moscow)
