In the article the book-exchange of the Chita Subbranch of PBIRGS with the domestic and foreign scientific organizations is considered. Development the book-exchange of communications of the CS PBIRGS was promoted by publishing of the subbranch. It is noted that the book-exchange was the most important communication of scientific community of the pre-revolutionary period. The book-exchange of contacts of the CS PBIRGS promoted public awareness of achievements of the Russian science among world scientific community.
